You may be surprised to know that Meghan Markle, the now-Duchess of Sussex, was also like that before she assumed her royal title.
Before marrying Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, Meghan was working as an actress in the US, and thanks to her role on the hit TV show Suits, she had become remarkably famous around the world. However, she was not always this famous, and before her rise to fame, Meghan had been struggling to get jobs in Hollywood.
Now, Wendy Williams has revealed another job that the royal had applied to and didn’t get, and it was on her show.
Meghan The Hard-Worker
The eyes of the entire world have been on Meghan ever since she tied the knot with Prince Harry back in May 2018, and it seems like every day we get to learn something new about the Duchess’ past, present, and also her future plans. But a new piece of information has really brought an interesting insight into her hard-working personality into the open, thanks to Wendy.
Wendy Williams, who hosts the famous talk show called The Wendy Williams Show, has disclosed that the royal had applied for the position of a model on her show. This should not be surprising to anyone as we all know the actress-turned-royalty had also appeared on the hit show Deal or No Deal as the model who carries the briefcase, although for a brief period. But surely Meghan was open to the idea of working in such small roles.
Applying For A Modelling Position
The Wendy Williams Show has multiple models working for it at the same time, and Meghan had reportedly applied to be one of them. This was obviously before she had sparked a romantic relationship with Prince Harry, as he would never have approved of such a job considering the limitations imposed upon the way royals are supposed to present themselves in public.
Although Meghan couldn’t become a part of the show, Wendy has made sure to include her by often discussing her life as royalty, from her marriage to her early career, because the British royals are obviously a very popular topic of discussion especially in the media.
Remarking on her own opinion of Meghan, Wendy said that she respected the person for her drive to succeed and for making the most of every opportunity at her disposal. However, she also called her somewhat unpredictable, jumping from one opportunity to the next hoping to land on the most lucrative one.
Of course, this all applies to Meghan’s pre-marriage life, as now she has a very defined lifestyle that involves her husband and family above anything else. Even though she did not get the Wendy Williams Show job, we bet she does not regret it now at all.
